My passion for cooking started at a very young age.

I have such fond memories from my childhood. My mom was a Nurse and sometimes she had night shifts when me and my brother were very young. My dad would come home from work make a Martini and my  brother and I would take turns being named head chef or sous chef and my dad would supervise. We would then cook dinner and play TV kitchen like we were on television. I was probably 5 when that started and that´s when my passion for cooking started. I must say my brother is a very good cook as well.

To me cooking is not only a way to help me have a healthy life its almost like meditation and discovering new flavors and combinations is just thrilling to me. If cooking scares you. Just start with your favorite herbs and start from there experimenting.

Tis´the season for comfort food. I thought i´d share my recipe for my chili. It´s just delicious and so easy to make. You can make a big batch and then freeze half for later or make it for a dinner party and make your own guacamole, salsa and some rustic bread.

I make my chili with ground turkey but you can off course substitute with beef. I also add sun dried tomatoes for a more intense tomato flavor and I add some dark 85% dark chocolate to add some earthiness to the flavor as well. Click Here for recipe

Bon Appetit!
